If you're going to post a picture, you need to have it hosted. There are plenty of sites out there that will host your work such as photobucket. There are some other hosting sites that have sketchy connections or time limits on hosting, so keep that in mind if people start to reply that your images don't work. You may have to re-post your stuff later, so keep copies of the originals on your home machine.
1. When you post your stuff, be it links or images, don't just paste the url and hope people will copy and paste it. Most people will just skip over your thread and not bother to look if there isn't a link or a picture directly in the thread, as it's a bit careless and rude not to provide one. The HTML isn't that hard:
To post an image:
[glow=red,2,300]<img src="your hosted file's url here">[/glow]
To post a link:
[glow=red,2,300]<a href="your site's url here">The title to your site</a>[/glow]
To post a link that will open a new window:
[glow=red,2,300]<a href="your site's url here" target="_blank">The title to your site</a>[/glow]
2. Instead of starting a new thread every time you have something new to post, keep all your posts to the SAME THREAD. When you make an update just add "(updated _today's_date_)" in your thread title by editing the original post.
3. We don't want 500 threads titled "my art", "a sketch", "my painting", etc, so use more than the one braincell it takes to type those sorts of titles out and give your thread a name with a little more imagination and/or definition.
Thanks, we look forward to seeing your work.
